Relay bases…They might be undersized…and I always forget this!

A relay SINGLE CHANGEOVER DIL(Dual inline) RELAY might be rated for some amperage but it does not mean the bases SINGLE CHANGEOVER TERMINALS qualifies…

Now you know what I am talking about…always parallel out the base(socket) terminals in order for the base to cope at higher currents- as was done with the relay!

If you don’t….then the base terminals will be in over current.

From pic see that these relays might use the same base – and if you use the one changeover version at higher currents YOU MUST PARALLEL OUT THE CONTACTS TO COPE WITH HIGHER CURRENTS!
